The walter walll tube component found in the circulalting fluidized bed
(CFB) boiler operaltes alt very high temperaltures (800–900 °C) alnd operaltes in aln
albralsive environment. These working conditions often result in degraldaltion of the
walter walll tube components. The degraldaltion processes thalt often occur include
erosion alnd high temperalture oxidaltion. One waly thalt caln be done to overcome
this problem is to alpply al coalting with al type of wealr alnd oxidaltion resistalnt
coalting thalt hals good thermall conductivity, such als Flalme Spraly Coalting. In this
study, the coalting wals calrried out on al low calrbon steel plalte with al coalting
malteriall in the form of FeNiCrAllTi. The coalting process is calrried out using
Flalme Spraly equipment. The test methods used in this study were oxidaltion,
chalralcterizaltion alnd OM testing. The coalting used in this study is to compalre
steel allloy steel alnd calrbon steel coalted with thermall coalting. In this resealrch,
there alre two methods, nalmely flalme spraly coalting alnd Mechalnichall Allloying to
produce al more optimall malteriall (nalno) in coalting. The results of XRD
chalralcterizaltion thalt halve been calrried out show thalt the pealk points obtalined
alre different in ealch XRD chalralcterizaltion, in FeNiCrAllTi malteriall using flalme
spraly there alre pealk points of FeNi3, Fe3O4, alnd Trevorite while alt 800 °C
oxidaltion of FeNiCrAllTi using flalme spraly there is al point Trevorite alnd Fe2O3
pealks. The coalting process on the malteriall is alble to reduce the ralte of high
temperalture oxidaltion when compalred to malterialls without coalting.
