    Abstract
Background and purpose Fatigue or impaiment quality of life is the most common complain in cancer patients. Anemia is one of the major etiology for those conditions. There is an incorrect clinical perception that mid anemia need no further intervention as it makes minimal clinical symptoms. The present study is to investigate that even mild anemia would cause fatigue and impairment quality of life. Patient dan Methode Study was conducted cross sectionally on 45 mild anemia-cancer patients (according to WHO criteria). Each patient was measured for the level of fatigue by using MFI-20 score subscale general fatigue, and quality of life by using EORTC QLQ C-30. Non anemia cancer patients was used as control. Result Compared with non anemia, here was higher significant level of fatigue in mid anemia wih Score MFI-20 subscale general fatigue were 6.40 ± 3.65 and 10.42 ± 4.21 (p<0,05). The differences in quality of life mild anemia compared to non anemia was found in Physical Functioning scale (76,00 ± 9.439 vs 89,11 ± 1145; p=0,0001), Role Funcioning scale (78.33 ± 17,35 vs 92.22 ± 68.70: p=0,0001), Cognitive Functioning scale (88,33 ± 14.93 vs 95.56 ± 10.57; p=0,0009), Social Functioning scale (74.72± 18,75 vs 91,39 ± 15,73; p= 0,0001), Fatigue symptom scale (66,67 ± 20,18 vs 42,96 ± 19,13; p=0,0001), and sleep disorder symptom subscale (48,33 ± 23,48 vs 38,33 ± 22,99, p=0,044). After conducted correlation test between mild anemia and level of fatigue quality of life, correlations were found only in score MFI-20 subscale general fatigue (0,435), Cogntiive Functioning scale (=0.339), and Fatigue symptom subscale (r=0,446) Conclusion There was a significant difference in level of fatigue and quality of life between mild anemia and non anemia cancer patients. Hemoglobin had a negative correlation with level of fatigue and Fatigue Symptom scale but positive with Cognitive Functioning scale.
