Background : Lip print is a pattern in the form of gaps or fissures found on the surface of the lip mucosa. The study of lip print patterns is called Cheiloscopy. Lip prints are used for individual identification because they have unique and stable properties. In a criminal case, lip prints can be left on glass cups, glass windows, lemonade straws, and several other objects found at the crime scene. The lip prints on the surface of the object can be compared with the lip prints of the suspect or victim, so that the results of the analysis of these lip prints can be used as evidence for identification purposes. Methods : This research is an observational study using a descriptive analytic design. The number of variables in this study were 2 variables from age. The samples of this study were all lip print pattern data that met the inclusion criteria. The total sample is 52 samples of lip print patterns. Result : In the Batak and Javanese tribes using the Suzuki and Tsuchihashi method, the Reticular Grooves lip print pattern has the largest number (dominant) with a population of 40.62% and 45% or while the Undiffrentiated Grooves lip print pattern is a lip print pattern that is not found in the population. In the Batak and Javanese tribes with the Renoud method, the Reticular Grooves pattern has the largest number (dominant) with a population of 40.62% and 45%, while the Undiffrentiated Grooves lip print pattern is a lip print pattern that is not found in this population.en_US
