Education will be qualified when teachers are referred to the organized vision,
mission, purpose, and goal in order to respond to various changes by generating
all potential resources in educational institution. Teachers' work satisfaction is
one of the important aspects which have to he heeded by management in order to
increase teachers' quality of performance. When work satif,faction is fulfilled,
teachers will tend to /-,ave high morale in doing their job. Some factors which
directly influence teachers' performance are certification allowance, education
and training, principals' leadership, and teachers' work satiefaction. The
objective of this research was to find out and to analyze the influence of
cert{fication allowance, education and training, and principals' leadership on
work satisfaction and its effect on teachers' performance at public junior high
schools in Meureubo Subdistrict, West Aceh Regency. The research used
descriptive explanatory quantitative method which was aimed to measure the
correlation between two or more variables. The data were gathered by
conducting interviews, questionnaires, and documentary study. The population
was 39 teachers as the government employees at all public junior high schools in
Meureubo Subdistrict who had received certification allowance, and all of them
were used as the samples, taken by using census sampling technique. The
gathered data were analyzed by using interval scale, path analysis, and residual
test for intervening variable.The result of the research showed that, partially,
certification allowance had positive and signtficant influence on teachers' work
satisfaction, education and training had positive and significant in influence on
teachers' work satiefaction, and principals' leadership had positive and
significant influence on teachers' work satiefaction. Partially, certffication
allowance had positive and significant influence on teachers ' performance,
education and training had positive and significant influence on teachers '
perfrmnance, principals' leadership had positive and significant influence on
teachers' performance, work satiefaction had positive and significant influence on
teachers' performance, certification allowance had indirectly insignificant
influence on teachers' peiformance through work satisfaction as intervening
variable, education and training had indirectly positive and significant influence
on teachers' performance through work satiefaction as intervening variable, and
principals' leadership had indirectly positive and sign(ficant influence on
teachers 'performance through work satiefaction as intervening variable. | en_US |
