Worm infections could affect the digestion, absorption, and metabolism of food that can resulted in loss of protein, carbohydrates, lipid, vitamins and blood in large quantities and could reduce the average concentration of hemoglobin. The aim of present study was to identify the differences in the levels of hemoglobin and to investigate the morphology of erythrocyte of hemoglobin in children of elementary school orphanage of Al-Jam'iyyatul Washliyah, Pulo Brayan, Medan, which is suffered in single STH infection and mixed STH infection. The number of subject were 82 subjects. Kato method was used in examination of feces. From the analysis obtained that 41 subjects were suffered with single STH infection and 41 subjects suffered with mixed STH infection. The result showed that there were significant differences in average level of hemoglobin between single STH infection and mixed STH infection 13.28 g/dL and 12.21 g/dl respectively.
