dc.description.abstract | The process of implementing a construction project cannot be separated from delays, one way to anticipate delays is to accelerate activities, using methods such as what if, is a sensitivity method that is often done behind the decision-making process, due to uncertainty and doubt in the world of reality by increasing the number of workers or working time on activities. PT BETESDA MANDIRI is a contractor implementing Pasar Baru Development project located in Panyabungan sub-district, Mandailing Natal district. In this project there is a delay, one of the causes is the late project working drawings received by the Project manager and also other internal problems, so that it has an impact on project activities resulting in activity work time not in accordance with the planned time. The application of the "What if" method aims to analyze delays in project activities, knowing what activities can anticipate delays in activities by adding workers' working hours, and knowing the amount of costs incurred. With the help of Ms. Project 2016 in scheduling and calculating data analysis with the help of the Microsoft Excel program, the results are presented in graphical form. From the results of the what if analysis on Pasar Baru Development project, activities that can be accelerated to anticipate delays are foundation work (4), casting the lower structure of the Los market (37.3), forming the lower structure of the Los market (37.4), installing Formwork Foundation of the lower structure of the Los market (40), aluminum and glass work of the Los market (42), and wall work in the yard (47). The cost required to catch up with delays by adding the number of workers is Rp. 448,225,700, and the cost required for additional worker working hours is Rp. 94,368,250.
