dc.description.abstract | Lead Acid Batteries are a important component that used in motor vehicles, where the battery functions to store the chemical energy in it and will convert this energy into electrical energy when in charging or discharging process. At this time there are still many problems with batteries such as the batter don’t have enough capacity to start the vehicle and to prevent that problem, then a state of charge and state of health estimation tool was designed. Where in this design state of charge and state of health estimation value we use Coulomb Counting method and Open Circuit method, both are require using sensor that have good accuracy, so that when the tool estimates they can produce accurate data. Based on the research conducted on calibration the current sensor (HSTS016) that has error of 4.3% and the calibration of voltage sensor (Voltage Divider) has an error of 0.47%. For testing the SoC and SoH are carried out by charging while the car is running and charging using a battery charger. In this research, the SoC and SoH testing is carried out using 4 types of batteries so that the state of health was obtained by compared to the battery tester which has an average error of 6.1%. | en_US |
