dc.description.abstract | Background: Violence is the use of physical force and power, threats or actions against oneself, an individual, or a group of people or a community that results in or is likely to result in injury/trauma, death, psychological harm, developmental disorders or deprivation of rights. The number of incidents of crimes against the physical/corporate in Indonesia is quite high, although it fluctuates with a downward trend. The area that has the largest number of crimes against physical/corporate bodies in Indonesia is North Sumatra Province. The type of injury in Indonesia is dominated by mechanical trauma, such as injuries from blunt objects such as abrasions, bruises, lacerations, and injuries from sharp objects.
Objective: This study aims to determine the prevalence of cases of mechanical violence injuring living persons at RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan, RS. Dr. Pirngadi Medan, RSU Haji Medan in January-June 2022. Methods: This research is a descriptive research study with a retrospective cross sectional research design, using secondary data derived from Visum et Repertum data at RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan, RS. Dr. Pirngadi Medan, RSU Haji Medan in January-June 2022. The research sample was selected by the total sampling method from all Visum et Repertum data records that met the research criteria. Results: The prevalence of violence cases with the criteria of survivors and experiencing mechanical trauma during this period. Conclusion: This descriptive study describes the prevalence of mechanical trauma in survivors at RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan, RS. Dr. Pirngadi Medan, RSU Haji Medan in January-June 2022. | en_US |
