| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: Rapid and accurate risk stratification is needed by clinicians to identify patients at high risk for complications and determine who require intensive care and early intervention. The scores used are the Global Registry in Acute Coronary Events (GRACE), Thrombolysis in Myocardial Infarction (TIMI), and HEART. The combined of HEART and GRACE, offers better accuracy for detecting complex angiography.
Methods: An analytic descriptive study with a cross-sectional design, conducted at the Haji Adam Malik General Hospital in Medan from May 2022 until the number of samples is fulfilled. The study sample was patients with non-ST segment elevation acute myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) who underwent coronary angiography and met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data was collected and analyzed, with significant variable if p<0.05.
Results: The mean age in this study was 57.27 years and was dominated by male. Risk factors such as hypertension was 62.6%, smoking 74.8% and diabetes 66.4%. The GRACE scores mean was 113.19±22.86, the HEART and TIMI scores had a median score of 7 (3-9) and 3 (1-5) respectively. The mean SYNTAX score was 24.3±9.53. There is a significant correlation between GRACE, TIMI and HEART scores with SYNTAX score (p<0.001).
Conclusions: There is a relationship between HEART, GRACE and TIMI scores in predicting the severity of coronary lesions, where the HEART score has the best predictive value in predicting the complexity of angiography in patients with NSTEMI. | en_US |
