Abstract
Technical implementation unit (UPT). Mainspring Seeds of Palawija and
Horticulture Tanjung Selamat is a Research Center located in Tanjung Selamat
Village, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The
purpose of this study was to analyze the presence of species, density, relative density
and frequency of presence. Determination of sampling points using purposive
sampling with the Quadratic method at both locations. The results showed that there
were 30 species of soil macrofauna in the maize area, 21 species were found in
location I, and 22 species were found in location II. The highest density values at
location I (young corn) were 3 species, namely Cydnus aterrimus (52.50 ind/m2),
Pontoscolex corethrurus (48.39 ind/m2), and Oxidus gracilis (32.26 ind/m2) m2). At
location II (mature maize) as many as 2 species, namely Pheretima sp. (220.32
ind/m2), and Pontoscolex corethrurus (56.60 ind/m2). The highest constant value at
both locations with absolute constants (very frequent), namely Pheretima sp. and
Pontoscolex corethrurus. There were 4 bioindicator species at both locations,
namely (Pontoscolex corethrurus, Pheretima sp., Cydnus aterrimus, and Oxidus
gracilis)
