dc.description.abstract | Land suitability can affect Arabica coffee production, so it is necessary to evaluate land suitability. This study aims to obtain the actual and potential land suitability of Arabica coffee and the relationship between land suitability and Arabica coffee production aged 10-15 years. The research was conducted in Pahae Julu and Adian Koting Subdistricts, North Tapanuli Regency from July 2022 to January 2023. This research was conducted using a survey method and sampling with a purposive sampling technique from the overlay of the Land Map Unit (map of elevation, soil type, slope). The data from SPL matching with the table of characteristics of Arabica coffee was then carried out a regression test on production using the SPSS v.24 program. The results showed that the actual land suitability of SPL I and II was classified as S3 (suitable marginal) with limiting factors dominated by water availability, rooting medium, nutrient retention and erosion hazard. If an effort is made to improve the SST, it is still classified as S3 (according to the marginal) but the limiting factor is the root medium. Land characteristics significantly affect the weight of 100 beans and production/ha of Arabica coffee. | en_US |
