Pertumbuhan dan Laju Eksploitasi Ikan Layang (Decapterus Macrosoma) yang Didaratkan pada Tangkahan Beringin Kota Sibolga Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Tangkahan Beringin is one of the fish landing sites in the city of Sibolga initiated by the private sector. The many and varied catches in Sibolga waters make this area a source of fishing for local fishermen. Layang Scad (Decapterus macrosoma) has economic and nutritional value so that this fish is included as the main catch for fishermen in Sibolga city. Layang Scad is used by the local community as processed salted fish as a source of income. Research on Growth and Exploitation Rate of layang scad (Decapterus macrosoma) Landed at Tangkahan Beringin, Sibolga City, North Sumatra was conducted from August to October 2022. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth pattern and exploitation rate of layang scad (Decapterus macrosoma) that were landed at Tangkahan Beringin City of Sibolga, North Sumatra. The method used in this study is a purposive sampling method with sampling once per month. The number of fish samples was 174 fish with Total Weight (TW) ranging from 53-331 g and Total Length (TL) ranging from 189-325 mm. The results of the relationship between length and weight showed that the allometric growth pattern of catfish was positive (b>3). The condition factor for layang scad’s ranged from 0.69-1.60. The reproduction results show that the sex ratio of the layang scad is in a state of balance. The total mortality value of layang scad is 3.58/year. The natural mortality value of layang scad’s is 0.60/year. The mortality value of layang scad is 2.98/year. The rate of exploitation of layang scad is 0.83/year with overfishing status.
