dc.description.abstract | Migratory birds are birds that migrate regularly every year. The existence of migratory birds at an area is largely determine by the availability of the natural resources such as habitat, food and also the environmental factors. At this time the condition of the area has been decreased both in quality and quantity of the natural resources which had affected and threatened migratory birds. This study aimed to analyze the types of the migratory birds and their food and the factors that influenced them. The research was conducted at 3 locations: The Bagan Serdang Beach, the Mangrove Education and the Tourism Forest Beach and Pesona Serdang Beach by using the bird counting method,which were the Concentration count and Block method and also collected macrozoobenthos using the Corer method. From the bird food, it obtained macrozoobenthos which categorized into high diversity with a value range into 2.13 up to 2.64. The number of bird species from the three observation sites were 17 species and macrozoobenthos concluded as bird food as many as 40 species consisting of 6 classes, which were Actinopterygii, Bivalvia, Crustaceae, Gastropods, Merostomata and Polychaeta. The macrozoobenthos had a Similarity Index at locations I to III with percentage of 51.06%. The factors that affect the diversity of Macrozoobenthos were the substrate and salinity ofhe Pantai Labu. | en_US |
