    Abstract
This thesis is entitled The Phenomenon of Gender Bias in the Male Kpopers Community (Case Study on USU MEDAN FISIP FISIP Kpopers Students). This research attempts to explore gender bias in the form of stereotypes felt by K-Pop fanboys due to the “collision” of masculinity proposed by K-Pop with masculinity that exists in society. This study used a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Informants in this study were determined by snowball sampling with qualitative research instruments, namely by triangulation such as interviews, observation and documentation. There were 12 informants in this study with 10 main informants and 2 additional informants. The results of the study show that K-Pop fanboys experience gender bias in the form of stereotypes. The gender bias experienced by K-Pop fanboys is by labeling them as less male, effiminate, feminine, female, less macho, less masculine and gay. This construction of gender bias is caused by the push of fluid masculinity, namely soft masculinity through the appearance of K-Pop idols and a market dominated by women, the collision of masculinity promoted by K-Pop with masculinity that is strongly held by society (macho), the presence of inferiority of femininity, incompatibility with views of gender, opennes to femininity, unfettered masculinity and the application of fluid masculinity in the everyday life of a K-Pop fanboy in a simple manner but not too soft masculinity.
