Implementasi Metode Job Safety Analysis sebagai upaya Pencegahan Kecelakaan Kerja pada Karyawan (Studi pada PKS Rantau Kasai PT. Tor Ganda Kandir Medan)

Abstract

Increasing technology in the era of globalization requires every company, especially companies engaged in industry to use technology as an aid in fulfilling the production process. The use of advanced technology can be used as an alternative to facilitate the course of a job in order to achieve productivity that can compete both in terms of quality and quantity produced by the company. However, there are cases of work accidents that occur especially in PKS Rantau Kasai, Riau. Accidents occur due to lack of awareness of the application of occupational safety and health (K3). Occupational safety and health are all activities to ensure and protect the safety and health of workers through efforts to prevent occupational accidents and occupational diseases. Job Safety Analysis or work safety analysis as one of the methods used in K3 to identify and analyze the dangers of threats and the potential for an accident that occurs in the workplace where it is used to find solutions to control and eliminate hazards. This study aims to analyze the Job Safety Analysis method as an effort to prevent work accidents at Rantau Kasai PKS. So that with this analysis it can be seen whether the application has been carried out properly or not and has created conditions that are safe and comfortable. This study uses a qualitative method which aims to describe the phenomena that occur. Data collection techniques used in this study are interviews, observation and documentation. This study collects information from interviewing informants consisting of key informants, main informants and additional informants. The data analysis technique uses a data reduction process, data presentation and discussion. The conclusion results show that the application of the Job Safety Analysis method to the Rantau Kasai PKS has been carried out quite well, by observing each stage of the work, making notifications regarding potential hazards through socialization and making a way out in the form of controlling existing hazards by placing a boundary mark on areas that are deemed to have the potential to create a hazard, put up warnings in the form of safety signs
