    Analisis Kasus Covid-19 dengan Kehamilan di RSUP H.Adam Malik Medan Periode Maret 2021 – Agustus 2021

    Abstract
    Background: COVID-19 infection continues to increase and becomes a major health problem throughout the world, especially in pregnant women because it has a significant impact on pregnancy process and fetomaternal outcomes. Aim: To describes overview of COVID-19 cases in pregnancy at H.Adam Malik General Hospital Medan from March 2021 to August 2021. Material and Methods: This is an analytic descriptive study using a case series study design which was conducted at Haji Adam Malik General Hospital Medan from 23 March 2021 to 31 August 2021. This research used a total sampling method which included pregnant women who were confirmed infected with RT-PCR COVID-19. Analysis of two research variables correlation was carried out by the chi square test. Results: The most common symptoms of COVID-19 in pregnant women were cough, fever, and shortness of breath, all of which were dominated in moderate stages (59.7%, 58.9%, and 53.6%, respectively). An increase in laboratory values was found, which increased along with an increase of COVID-19 stages, namely leukocytes, fibrinogen, D-dimer, procalcitonin, and ferritin. Bronchopneumonia and pneumonia predominate at moderate stages (89.0% and 50.0%, respectively). Hepatitis B was found in 3.5% patients, preeclampsia in 2.5% patients, and other comorbidities are only around 1-2 patients per comorbidity (DM, heart disease, tuberculosis, leukemia, and HIV). The incidence of COVID-19 in newborns as high as 3.0%. Conclusion : The characteristics of pregnant women with COVID-19 were mostly aged 30–40 years, multigravidas, and in third trimester pregnancies. Outcome of pregnant women with a moderate stages of COVID-19 was duration admission >7 days which required nasal canule with the most significant mortality rate.
