    Abstract
Global warming is one of the problems that can affect climate change on earth, this is due to the development of technology and development. Green building is one of the solutions to minimize the impact of global warming by creating environmentally friendly construction. The principles of energy efficiency and conservation applied to green buildings are expected to save the use of building energy which absorbs about 50% of the total energy needs. Light Transmission Concrete (LTC) is an energy-efficient concrete innovation that can transmit light through translucent materials mixed into concrete. This research uses Plastic optical fiber (POF) as a medium for transmitting light in LTC. The diameter of POF used is 1 mm with the number of POF 2, 3 and 4 POF. In this study, we used 5x5 and 6x6 POF arrangement variations. The test objects used were concrete cubes with a size of 150 mm x 150 mm x 150 mm and mortar with a size of 50 mm x 50 mm x 50 mm. Tests of compressive strength and light intensity were carried out at the age of 28 days of concrete. The results of light intensity in concrete and mortar are directly proportional to the use of POF, so that the more the amount of POF used, the value of light intensity will increase. The maximum average light intensity value is in the variation of the 6x6 POF arrangement with the number of POF used 4 POF of 25,32 Lux in concrete and 23,14 Lux in mortar. While the compressive strength values of translucent concrete and mortar decreased non-linearly in line with the increase in the number of POFs. So that the more the amount of POF used in LTC, the compressive strength value of LTC will decrease. The maximum average compressive strength value is in the 5x5 arrangement variation with the number of POF used 2 POF, namely 22,116 Mpa in concrete and 23,360 Mpa in mortar.
