This research aims to determine the effect of inflation, interest rates,
profitability, liquidity and leverage both partially and simultaneously on the
systematic risk of stock investment in food and beverage sub-sector manufacturing
companies on the Indonesian stock exchange for the 2018-2020 period. This type
of research is causal associative, the type of data is quantitative and the data source
comes from secondary data obtained from the official website of the Indonesia
Stock Exchange using documentation study data collection techniques. The
population of this study consisted of 34 companies, taking samples using a
purposive sampling technique of 10 sample companies for 3 years of observation
with a total of 30 research observations. The data analysis technique used is
descriptive statistical analysis, panel data regression analysis, classical
assumption test, and hypothesis testing. Inflation is measured based on the annual
Consumer Price Index data published by Bank Indonesia, interest rates are
measured based on BI 7 Day Reverse Repo Rate data published by Bank Indonesia,
profitability is measured by Gross Profit Margin obtained from the company's
financial statements, liquidity is measured by Current Ratio obtained from the
company's financial statements and leverage measured by Debt to Equity Ratio
obtained from the company's financial statements. The results of this study indicate
that inflation partially has no effect on the systematic risk of stock investment,
interest rates partially have no effect on the systematic risk of stock investment,
profitability partially has no effect on the systematic risk of stock investment,
liquidity partially has no effect on the systematic risk of stock investment , leverage
partially does not affect the systematic risk of stock investment and inflation,
interest rates, profitability, liquidity and leverage simultaneously effect the
systematic risk of stock investment.
