    Abstract
Climate change is a limiting factor that has an impact on weather anomalies, when rainfall is less than normal induce drought stress that influence plant cultivate especially palm oil decrease productivy of defisit water. Palm oil shell ash is palm oil mill processing effluent has silica potential of up to 60% function is decrease drought stress, but requires special treatment with the increase of Aspergillus niger fungi as a decomposer in release monosilicic acid (H4SiO4) which is easily absorbed to reduce the effects of drought stress with analyses morphophysiological, anatomy and biochemical palm oil seedlings, The research was conducted at the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra, starting July - November 2022, using a factorial randomized block design with two factors, drought stress factors of 80%, 60%, 40% and 20% field capacity, oil palm shell ash factor and Aspergillus niger 0, 10, 20, and 30 g + 5 ml. Theresults showed that Aspergillus niger had the potential to dissolve Silica in palm shell ash with a low to moderate solubility index. Drought stress decrease seedlings height, number of leaves, root length, root volume, dry weight of shoot root, chlorophyll a, total chlorophyll, proline content and stomata width of oil palm seedlings, while giving 20 g of oil palm shell ash with the addition of Aspergillus niger 5 ml/polybag increased seedlingsheight, number of leaves, root length, root volume, dry weight of shoot root , chlorophyll a, total chlorophyll and stomatal width as well as N, P, K nutrient uptake. Interaction of drought stress with oil palm shell ash with the addition of Asprgillus niger decreaseseedlingsheight and number of leaves.
