dc.description.abstractA railroad crossing is a crossing where a railroad meets a road, either a highway or other path. The purpose of this research is to add features in the form of a countdown timer system for the arrival of trains entering the crossing. In Indonesia, many cases of accidents that occur around railroad crossings are caused by undisciplined road users who still break through the railroad crossing bar even though the railroad crossing bar is already closed. To reduce the above accident factors, a system is designed to count down the arrival time of trains entering the crossing by combining infrared sensors to detect the arrival and calculate the speed of the train. Based on these inputs, an output is produced in the form of train arrival time when entering the crossing gate. For data transmission communication is done wirelessly using the nrf24l01 module.en_US
