dc.description.abstractThis study aims to describe the values of the struggle contained in the novel “Women Crying for the Black Moon” by Dian Purnomo. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The theory applied in this study is the sociology of literature approach put forward by Rene Wellek and Austin Waren. The results of this study indicate that the novel “Woman Crying for the Black Moon” by Dian Purnomo has struggle values, including: 1) the value of never giving up, 2) the value of patience, 3) the value of self-sacrifice, 4) the value of cooperation 5) the value unity, and 6) value price respect.en_US
