Analisis Prediksi Implementasi Peraturan Menteri Kelautan dan Perikanan No. 2 Tahun 2015 terhadap Produksi dan Pendapatan Nelayan (Studi Kasus di Kota Langsa)

Abstract

The implementation of the Regulation of Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries No. 2/2015 is based on the decline in SDI (Fish Resources) threatening the preservation that for the sake of its continuity, the uses of Trawls and Seine Nets are banned in order to conserve the marine ecosystem in short-term and to improve the fishery sector in long-term. The objectives of the research are to examine and analyze the implementation of the regulation of Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries No. 2/2015 on the production and income rates of the traditional shrimp fishermen in Langsa City.

This is a comparative descriptive research. The method used to determine the samples is the Purposive Sampling Method. The samples are 151 traditional shrimp fishermen in Langsa Barat and LangsaTimur Subdistricts. The data are collected through questionnaires distributed to the respondents. They are analyzed by means of sign test. The hypotheds testing uses the application of SPSS version 22

The result of the first hypothesis shows that the Implementation of the Regulation of Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries No. 2/2015 increases the traditional shrimp fishermen's production rate in Langsa City. The result of the second hypothesis shows that the Implementation of the Regulation of Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries No. 2/2015 increases the traditional shrimp fishermen's income rate in Langsa City.
