Gambaran Endoparasit Sapi (Bos Sp.) yang Dipelihara Secara Ekstensif di Kebun Kelapa Sawit, Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi, Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Research on the description of The cattle endoparasites extensively reared at oil palm plantations, Tebing Tinggi District North Sumatra had been done. This research was conducted from January to April 2023. This study aimed to describe the types of endoparasites that infected the cattle and analyzed the prevalence and the intensity of the endoparasites. The samples taken were the manure of three types of cows, Madrasin, Limosin and Simmental, each contained of 30 cows. From the research results, there were 7 types of endoparasites. The types of parasites found were Eimeria sp., Trichuris sp., Bunostomum sp., Trichostrongylus sp., Ascaris sp., Moniezia sp., and Strongyloides sp. In madrasin cattle did not find Strongyloides sp., in Limosin cattle, Trichuris sp. did not find. Only two species were found in Simmental cattle, Ascaris sp and Moniezia sp. The prevalence of endoparasites in Madrasin and Limosin cattle categorized as usual and commonly attack levels. The intensity of endoparasites in Madrasin and Limosin cattle had the level of parasitic endoparasite infection while in Madrasin and Limousine cattle had a level of Heavy parasite infection and Very Heavy. From the three types of cattle examined, the least infected was Simmental.
