Jenis, Prevalensi dan Intensitas Endoparasit Gastrointestinal Kambing Peranakan Ettawa (Pe) (Capra Hircus Linn.) di Peternakan Jono, Medan Selayang, Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The research of endoparasite infection of ettawa crossbred goats (Capra hircus Linn.) in Jono Farmers, Medan Selayang, North Sumatera was conducted in Desember 2022. The purpose of this research was to determine the type, prevalence and intensity of endoparasit infection in ettawa goats. The sample were used in this study was fresh feces of 25 goats. Then, samples were investigated in the laboratory of parasitology, Balai Veterinary of Medan, North Sumatera by using EPG Mc. Master method. The result of this research found 7 species of infection endoparasite such as Haemonchus sp., Strongyloides sp., Oesophagustomum sp., Ostertagia sp., Trichuris sp., Dicrocoelium sp., and Eimeria sp., with the most prevalence in ettawa goats was Eimeria sp., 96% (almost always) and intensity was 3.583 (super infection). And the lowest prevalency was Dicrocoelium 16% (often) with intensity was 1.050 (super infection).
