dc.description.abstractThe use of non-linear load in ceragem (a type of thermal acupuncture device) can cause harmonic distortion which will have the effect on bad quality of power. This research designed a single-tuned passive filter for handling harmonic distortion in ceragem material at the temperature of 60° C. Some conducted stages were to identify the type of temperature load of 30 °c, 40 °c, 50 °c, and 60 °c in ceragem by measun·ng harmonics and to perform simulation for filter trial by using Matlah/Simulink. From the result of the test, it was found that the designed filter could function well; from the test of ceragem load at the temperature of 60 °C, it was found that the reduction of harmonic current was from 133.8 % to 17 %.en_US
