Background : Anemia causes decreased oxygen carrying capacity, alterations in blood viscosity, and impaired cerebral autoregulation and through its effects on inflammation, anemia may be associated with poor outcome after stroke. Mechanism relationship Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) with worsening of stroke outcome is unknown, but one study showed that increased aortic stiffness among CKD patients was an explanation why CKD is a predictor of cerebrovascular mortality. Purpose : This study aims to compare outcomes among anemia patients with CKD and anemia without CKD in patients with subacute ischemic stroke. Methods : This cross sectional study consisted of 70 patients with subacute ischemic stroke; 35 anemia patients with CKD and 35 anemia patients without CKD. All subjects who have inclusion criterias will be assessed the outcome with National Institute Of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Modified Rankin Scale (mRS) on the 14th day after treatment. Results : In this study it was found that the difference in outcome with a significant positive correlation between anemic patients with CKD and anemia without CKD in patients with ischemic stroke sub-acute (p = 0. 038, r = 0. 329 in NIHSS and p = 0.013, r = 0.286 on the mRS). On examination NIHSS and mRS, it was found a significant association with positive correlation with the strength of the relationship of each strong and weak between the degree of anemia with outcomes in with subacute ischemic stroke patients with CKD (p = 0.001, r = 0.688; p = 0.009, r = 0.291) and it was found a significant relationship with a positive correlation with the strength of the relationship was moderate on the NIHSS and mRS examination in anemia patients without CKD (p = 0.001, r = 0.585; p = 0.002, r = 0.404). It was also found a significant correlation with the positive correlation with moderate strength between the degree of CKD and the outcome, both in the NIHSS examination (p = 0. 003, r = 0.490) as well as on the mRS examination (p = 0.003, r = 0.489). Conclusion : There was significant difference in outcome between patients with anemia with CKD and anemia without CKD in subacute ischemic strokeen_US
