Pengaruh Knowledge Investment, Persepsi Return dan Risiko Serta Kemajuan Teknologi Terhadap Minat Investasi Mahasiswa di Pasar Modal (Studi pada Mahasiswa di Kota Medan)
Abstract
Students occupy the second position in the proportion of capital market
investors in Indonesia, which means that students have a high interest in
investing. The high interest of students to invest is supported by knowledge about
investing in the capital market. In investing, investor also considers the level of
return and risk that will be received from the instrument being invested. In
addition, technological advances have made information about investments easy
to obtain, so that the number of people who are literate about investment is also
increasing. The presence of a digital platform for investment also makes
investment easier. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of knowledge
investment, perceived return and risk as well as technological advances on the
investment interest of students Medan City in the capital market. The influence of
the knowledge investment, perceived return and risk as well as technological
advances will be partially and simultaneously analyzed.
The form of research that was used is a quantitative form with an
associative approach. Students in Medan City who invested in the capital market
were the population in this research. The samples in this research were taken with
a purposive sampling technique and used 100 respondents as the samples. The
primary data used in this research were acquired by distributing a questionnaire
directly and the secondary data were obtained through literature studies. The
methods of data analysis that were used are validity test, reliability test, classic
assumptions test, multiple linear regression analysis, as well as hypothesis test.
The result of this research shows that knowledge investment (X1),
perceived return and risk (X2) and technological advances (X3) have a significant
both partially and simultaneously effect on investment interest of students in
Medan City (Y). The test of coefficient of determination shows that there is a close
relationship between the knowledge investment, perceived return and risk as well
as technological advances on investment interest with R value is 0,725. Through
the adjusted R square value, it is also known that the variables of knowledge
investment, perceived return and risk as well as technological advances
contributes 51,2% on the investment interest variable while the remaining 48,8%
are influenced by other variables not mentioned in this research model
