dc.description.abstractHuman resources are the most important asset owned by a company. The company's goals will be achieved maximally if supported by good performance from employees. Companies need human resources who have potential, loyalty, and good performance towards the company. The achievements possessed by each employee are called performance. Employee performance generally leads to the ability of employees to carry out tasks in accordance with the responsibilities of each employee which are based on the rules and indicators of achieving company success. This study aims to determine the effect of work life balance and interpersonal communication on the performance of employees of PT Bank Sumut KC Panyabungan. The effect of work life balance and interpersonal communication will be analyzed partially and simultaneously on employee performance. The form of research used in this study is quantitative research with an associative approach. Sampling was done through probability sampling technique using 31 respondents as samples. Primary data used in this study were obtained by distributing questionnaires and interviews. While secondary data is obtained through literature studies. The data analysis methods used are validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that the work life balance variable (X1) and the interpersonal communication variable (X2) have a partial and significant effect on employee performance (Y), the work life balance variable (X1) and the interpersonal communication variable (X2) also have a simultaneous and significant effect on employee performance, this coefficient value shows the relationship between work life balance (X1) and interpersonal communication variables (X2) on employee performance (Y) is very strong with an R value of 0.719 or 7.19%. The Adjusted R Square value is also known that the work life balance and interpersonal communication variables can explain the employee performance variable by 51.8% while the remaining 48.2% is influenced by other variables not discussed in this studyen_US
