In the current industrial era, the increasingly rapid development makes
companies more and more so that competition in this industrial era cannot be
avoided. Seeing such a tight business competition, requires companies to continue
to improve themselves through the development of human resources in the company
to the maximum. Companies are required to be able to face challenges originating
from outside and from within the company and be able to manage human resources
as well as possible so that they can be relied on to support company activities in
increasingly competitive business competition.
The purpose of this study is to determine and the effect of transformational
leadership on job satisfaction, the influence of transformational leadership on
employee performance, the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance and
assess job satisfaction as an intervening variable in PT. Dairi Prima Minerals.
The form of research used in this study is quantitative research with an
associative approach. Sampling was carried out through probability sampling
techniques using 35 respondents as samples. The primary data used in this study
were obtained by distributing questionnaires and interviews. While secondary data
are obtained through literature studies. The data analysis methods used are validity
tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, regression tests, path analysis, and
hypothesis tests.
The results of this study show that transformational leadership has a
significant effect on job satisfaction transformational leadership has a significant
effect on employee performance, job satisfaction has a significant effect on
employee performance, and leadership style has a significant effect on employee
performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable with Adjusted R
Square in equation I of 0.583 or 58.3% while the rest is 41.7% and in Equation II
of 0.657 or 65.7% while the remaining 34.3% is influenced by other variables not
discussed in this study
