Makrofauna yang Aktif di Permukaan Tanah Sebagai Spesies Bioindikator Pada Areal Upt Benih Induk Palawija dan Hortikultura Tanjung Selamat Kabupaten Deli Serdang
Abstract
Soil macrofauna is part of soil biodiversity which plays an important role in improving soil physical, chemical, and biological properties. Soil macrofauna has an important role in the decomposition of soil organic matter in the provision of nutrients. This research was conducted to determinate the active macrofauna on the soil surface as a bioindicator spesies in the UPT area of Tanjung Selamat main grain crops and horticulture seeds, Deli Serdang regency. Determination of sampling points using Purposive Sampling in which soil macrofauna samples were collected using the Pit fall Trap method. The results showed that 32 macrofauna species were active on the soil surface, which belonged to 3 classes, 8 orders, 21 families, 31 genera. The total density value of soil macrofauna in the area (block III) is higher than the area (block I) and (block II). The value of the frequency of presence in the (block I), (block II), and (block III) were absolute, constant, accessory, accidental constants. Soil macrofauna species with KR (≥ 10% ) and FK (≥ 25%) values and also as bioindicators at the study site, were X. marmoratus, O. monticola in block I, Xenogryllus sp, L. oratorius in block II and III.
