Korelasi Nilai Indeks Trombosit Mioma Uterus Terhadap Kelainan Ginekologis Lainnya di RSUP. H. Adam Malik

Abstract

Background: Uterine myomas or often called fibroids are benign tumors that originate from the smooth muscle of the uterus. Tumor cells are formed due to genetic mutations, then develop due to the induction of the hormones estrogen and progesterone. Objective: This study will look at the differences in platelet index (PLT, PDW, MPV, PCT, PLR) between the uterine myoma group and other gynecological disorders groups. Method: This research was conducted using a cross-sectional study design with a retrospective approach. Samples were all cases of uterine myoma and other gynecological diseases that had been treated at H. Adam Malik General Hospital for the period February 2022 - February 2023 which met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, data were collected and then analyzed statistically Results: PLT, MPV, PCT, and PLR showed no correlation between these values and the incidence of uterine myoma. Meanwhile, the PDW value showed that there was a low correlation between the PDW value and the incidence of uterine myoma. Conclusion: There were no differences in the mean PLT, MPV, PCT, and PLR values and there were differences in the mean PDW values between groups of uterine myomas for other gynecological disorders.
