Corbicula javanica is a group of small shellfish that live at the bottom of the waters.
have shells, mollusca phylum of the corbiculidae family and bivalves class that live in
coastal waters. Mussels are an important component in aquatic ecosystems as a
component of the food chain or an indicator of water quality monitoring. Mussels are
often found in Putra Deli Beach Waters. Mussels have high economic and nutritional
value so that many people take them continuously to be bought and sold in traditional
markets. Mussels are collected continuously without considering the size that can affect
their presence and growth in nature. This study aims to determine the density,
distribution pattern, length-weight relationship, and relationship between physicochemical
factors in the waters and the distribution of mussels. This study used the
"Purposive Sampling" method, namely simple random sampling. The research results
obtained the highest density value at station 2, namely 1,2 ind/m2 and the lowest at
station 3, namely 0,9 ind/m2. Distribution index values ranged from 3.0 to 3.2 with a
clustered distribution pattern. The relationship between mussel length length from each
station was negative allometric (b<3), which means that the growth of mussel shell
length was more dominant than the growth of mussel body weight. The results of the
correlation analysis showed that light intensity,BOD and pH were water chemistry
glass factors that had a very strong influence on the density of mussels
