dc.description.abstractSambar deer (Cervus unicolor) is the largest tropics deer that distributein Indonesia, such as in Kalimantan and around Sumatera. Population of sambar deer become decreased sharply, therefore, the conservation of the deer was requiredt. The reduction of Sambar deer in their habitat also might be infected by diseases, especially endoparasites that interfere with their digestion systemand cause death. Research type of endoparasites on sambar deer at Central Park Zoo and Resort Pancur Batu, Deli Serdang, North Sumatera was conducted from January to February 2023. The aim was to analyze the prevalence and intensity infection of endoparasites Sample used was faeces of 11 sambar deer that obtained using Mc Master method. Examination and analysis of samples were conducted at the Parasitology Laboratory, Medan Veterinary Center, North Sumatera. The results of the study obtained 3 types of endoparasites namely Haemonchus sp. with a prevalence rate of 18.2% frequent infection (often) and intensity of 100 levels of heavy infection (heavy), Bunostomum sp. with a prevalence of 9.09% the level of occasional infection and the intensity of 100 levels of heavy infections. Strongyloides sp. with a prevalence of 9.09% with an occasional infection rate and an intensity of 100 with a heavy infection rate.en_US
