    Abstract
The waters of Bagan Kuala Beach, Tanjung Beringin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency is one of the waters on the east coast of North Sumatra. The coastal waters of Bagan Kuala have high potential for aquatic resources and have provided many marine products for North Sumatra Province. One of the main marine fishery commodities from the coastal waters of Bagan Kuala Village is Mussels (Anadara inaeqiuvalvis). The purpose of this study is to determine the density, the distribution pattern and the growth pattern on the shellfish. The research method used is purposive sampling method. This research has been done in November until December 2022. The Feather Clams obtained consisted of three stations with a total of 457 individuals. The results showed that the frequency of the length of the Kepah Scallop was 21-50 mm. The highest density of Mussels was obtained at station I and the lowest at station III. The distribution pattern of shellfish at all stations showed uniformity and the growth of shellfish at station I was negative allometric, stations II and III were positive allometric. The results of the analysis of the growth parameters of Mussels consist of a growth coefficient (K) which is 0.94 per year and an infinitive length (L∞) which is 116.55 mm and the theoretical age of the shells at zero length (t0) which is -0.71. Predictive analysis of total mortality (Z) is 2.44/year, natural mortality (M) is 1.21/year, fishing mortality (F) is 1.23/year, and exploitation rate (E) is 0.50 ( optimum).
