This research aims to analyze the mechanism of female subjectivity and the negotiation process of the main female character in the formation of female subjectivity by using descriptive qualitative method. The theory used in this research is the theory of Existentialist Feminism according to Simone de Beavouir. The data of this research consists of scenes, words and sentences in the dialog in the film 萧红Xiāohóng, which are then classified based on the mechanism of female subjectivity and the negotiation process of the main female character in the formation of female subjectivity. The results of this study show that in the movie 萧红Xiāohóng there are 13 scenes that show the mechanism of subjectivity and 4 negotiation processes of the female main character in the formation of female subjectivity. Subjectivity does not only arise from oneself as a subject, but can be obtained from the recognition of others. Furthermore, researchers found the fact that women in the context of the subject are not permanent, but can still return to being objects.en_US
