Leksikon Nomina dan Verba Bahasa Karo dalam Lingkungan Perladangan di Desa Kutarayat, Kabupaten Karo: Kajian Ekolinguistik

Abstract

This study discusses the environmental lexicon of farming in the Karo language in Kutarayat Village, Karo District. This study aims to describe the lexicons contained in the farming environment, to describe people's understanding of cultivation based on the three ecolinguistic parameters, namely the parameters of interrelationships, interactions, and interdependencies, as well as the three dimensions of social praxis.This study uses qualitative methods and is supported by quantitative methods. Data collection was carried out by interview method and using several techniques such as fishing techniques, note-taking techniques, and recording techniques to obtain information. The data for this study are lexicon data for farming environments in the Karo language in Kutarayat village, Karo district. The results of this study indicate that the environmental lexicon of cultivation in the Karo language in Kutarayat Village, Karo Regency found 85 lexicons which were classified into two groups, namely noun groups and verb groups. In the noun lexicon, 72 lexicons were found which were divided by type, namely: type of facilities and infrastructure, flora and fauna. While in the verb lexicon found 13 lexicons. after that, explaining the level of public understanding of the lexicon of nouns and karo language verbs in a farming environment using the Slovin formula.
