Mieido is built in the wayo style, with low characterized irimoya roof, thin, horizontal pillars called nageshi, with thin wooden windows (renjimado). Nyoraido buildings are built in the zenshuyo style with irimoya and yosemune two-tiered roofs with thicker pillars and wooden rafters between the roofs called tsumegumi and bell-shaped windows called katomado. In addition, researchers also classify the meaning of the building into 3 parts, namely as a symbol of Honzan Senjuji, as a visualization of gokurakujyodo (Western Heaven) and symbols of Amidanyorai and Shinran monks.
