loan word theory by Ainin and Asrori about absorption word. This research is
descriptive and synchronic in nature, namely research that is carried out as it is in
society and is carried out at this time. The results of the study showed : 1) The
type of change in meaning that occurs is expansion of meaning amounted to 15
vocabularies including arif, dajjal, fakih, hukama and hijrah. Narrowed the
meaning of 11 vocabularies including ajal, alhasil, aib, batal and fatwa.
Displacement of meaning totaling 56 vocabularies including asykar, azmat, azal,
bani and daulat. Refinement of meaning totaling 12 vocabularies including uzur,
ahmak, bakhil, fakir and fidyah. The factors that cause changes in the meaning of
the Arabic vocabulary into Langkat Malay words are the socio-cultural
development factors (at-tathawur al-ijtima'iy wa ats-tsaqafi), language deviation
(al-inhiraful lughawi) and different areas of use (ikhtilāfu al-istikhdāmi). The
conclusion of the research shows that loanwords that are often found in the
Langkat 2100 word Malay dictionary are borrowed words that experience a
transfer of meaning and the factors that cause it are socio-cultural development
factors. | en_US |
