Pertumbuhan dan Laju Eksploitasi Ikan Genus Sphyraena di Tempat Pendaratan Ikan (TPI) Gabion Belawan Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

FLS Gabion Belawan is one of the FLS located at the Belawan Ocean Fishing Port. One of the fish landed at FLS Gabion Belawan is the Sphyraena fish. The types of Sphyraena fish in FLS Gabion Belawan are Sphyraena obtusata, Sphyraena jello, and Sphyraena putname. According to KKP data, the production of Sphyraena fish has increased by 24.4%, it is feared that it will reduce fish stocks in the waters. The purpose of this study was to determine the growth and exploitation rate of fish of the genus Sphyraena. This research was conducted directly at FLS Gabion Belawan by measuring the total length (PT) and weight of the fish. The results showed that the fish of the genus Sphyraena landed at FLS Gabion Belawan had a negative allometric growth pattern, namely, the growth in length was more dominant than the growth in weight. The exploitation rate of Sphyraena fish with an average of 0.85 and the exploitation status of overfishing or overcatchs.
