| dc.description.abstract | This thesis is entitled Analysis of the Meaning of Umpasa Speech "Manulangi Tulang" in Toba Batak Customary in Hutapaung Village, Pollung District: Anthropolinguistic Studies. In simple terms, the aim is to analyze the meaning and cultural values contained in the Manulangi Tulang traditional ceremony which is rarely carried out by the Toba Batak people. This study uses oral data. The method used in data collection is the listening method, the data is analyzed using the equivalent method, the determination of which is outside, detached, and not part of the language (Langue) concerned. The basic technique is in the form of a determining element sorting technique (PUP) with the determinant used is mental sorting powers that are owned by the researchers themselves, and the results obtained from this research are Umpasa utterances in the Manulangi Tulang traditional ceremony in the Toba Batak custom which contain several meanings including: the meaning of comparing/equalizing, the meaning of advising and the meaning of expecting something. Based on the cultural value orientation parameters of the Umpasa study which are reflected in the Manulangi Tulang traditional ceremony universally, namely: religious values, politeness values, solidarity values, harmony values, commitment values, positive thinking values, gratitude values, welfare values, hard work values, discipline, educational values, health values and mutual cooperation values. | en_US |
