Nilai –Nilai Perjuangan dalam Novel Jalan Pasti Berujung Karya Benyaris Adonia Pardosi: Kajian Sosiologi Sastra

Abstract

Value is something that gives meaning in life that provides a reference, starting point, and purpose of life. Values are highly valued and considered high in society, values refer to good or bad reasoning that functions as a guide and basis for someone to act. One type of value is the value of struggle. The value of the struggle is a value that is inherent in people's lives, the value of the struggle concerns efforts by strengthening the power to achieve and obtain something that is difficult to obtain. The struggle will certainly be achieved if someone has commitment and firmness in dealing with the problem. In studying and analyzing the struggle for values in literary works, another science is needed, namely the sociology of literature. This study aims to describe the values of struggle contained in the novel Jalan Pasti Berujung by Benyaris Adonia Pardosi. In this novel there are many struggle values that are closely related to society. The novel Jalan Pasti Berujung is certain to contain a lot of values of struggle which can be seen from the activities or actions of the characters in it. In analyzing the novel Jalan Pasti Berujung, the approach or study used is sociological literature. The method used in this study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative research methods produce descriptive data in the form of words in the form of quotations as a problem solving procedure. The results of the study show that the novel Jalan Pasti Berujung by Benyaris Adonia Pardosi has struggle values, including: 1) willingness to sacrifice, 2) unity, 3) respect, 4) patience, 5) unyielding spirit, 6) cooperation.
