| dc.description.abstract | Code mixing is the use of language units from one language to another to expand language style or variety of languages. Code mixing occurs because of differences in background between one person and another. This study aims to describe the forms of code-mixing that occur between traders and buyers at Pancur Batu Market and to analyze the factors behind the occurrence of code-mixing between traders and buyers at Pancur Batu Market. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The method used in this study uses the listening method and the speaking method. The results of this study found 39 data in the form of insertion of tangible word elements, 10 data in the form of insertion of tangible elements of phrases, 7 data in the form of insertion of tangible elements of repetition of words, and 4 data in the form of insertion of tangible clauses. There are only four forms of code-mixing events found in buying and selling interactions at Pancur Batu Market, namely inserting tangible elements of words, inserting tangible elements of phrases, inserting tangible elements of repetition of words, and inserting tangible elements of clauses. The factors that cause code mixing found in buying and selling interactions at the Pancur Batu Market are to refine expressions and to show their abilities. | en_US |
