    Abstract
This research aim to know the value of Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE), Maximum Suistainable Yield (MSY) for Mackerel Scad (Decapterus sp.) and the fishing season pattern for Mackerel Scad resources in 2018-2022 at the Sibolga Archipelago Fishery Port. The methods used in this research are observation and survey methods by collecting primary data and secondary data. The primary data was obtained by cross section, namely interviews with purse seine fishermen who are captains or crew members (ABK) by using a questionnaire. Secondary data taken in this research was in the form of annual and monthly data on the catch and effort of flying catfish obtained from the Sibolga Archipelago Fishing Port. Based on the analysis that has been carried out, the highest CPUE (Catch per Unit Effort) value in 2022 is 3.69 tonnes per trip and the lowest CPUE value in 2021 is 2.70 tonnes per trip. Meanwhile, the Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY) value of the flyfish is 5,084.35 tons/year. The highest fishing season peak for Mackerel Scad (Decapterus sp.) resources occurred in October (transition season II) with an IMP value of 144.6%. While the fishing season with the lowest value occurred in January (West season) with an IMP value of 60.0%. The calculation of the fishing season pattern uses data on the monthly catch and effort of flying catfish. sourced from fishery statistical data from the Archipelago Sibolga Fishery Port.
