    Abstract
    The issues raised in this study are about Performance, Indexicality, and Participants in the Berandam Tradition in Malay wedding ceremonies in the people of Teluk Dusun Melayu Village, Secanggang District. This study aims to (1) describe what performance is contained in the Berandam Tradition in Malay wedding ceremonies in Teluk Village, Dusun Melayu, Secanggang District (2) describe what indexicalities are contained in the Berandam Tradition in Malay wedding ceremonies in Teluk Village, Dusun Melayu, Secanggang District (3) describes the participants or parties involved in the Veranda Tradition in Malay wedding ceremonies in Teluk Village, Dusun Melayu, Secanggang District. The theory used in this research is Duranti's Anthropolinguistics. This study used descriptive qualitative method. This research has data collection techniques carried out through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The data in this study were obtained from an informant, namely Mrs. Ajizah who is a Mak Andam in Teluk Dusun Melayu Village, Secanggang District. The results showed that the performance included al-barjanzi, sholawat, heirloom incantations, stages of carrying out the bride's porch tradition, procedures for carrying out the bride's porch and prayer. Indexicality or tools used include seats/chairs, a pair of candles, penknife, scissors, brush, plain flour, conical coconut, adhesive cloth/seat mat, white cloth, kaffir lime water, betel vine, plain flour pats, and dishes food. Participants or parties involved in this tradition include mak andam, the prospective bride and her family members or relatives, the parents of the prospective bride, and other communities.
