    Abstract
    Background: The incidence of burnout in college students is growing rapidly all over the world, and many studies have examined burnout in all walks of life, such as office workers, police and health workers. Research is quite developed so that not only workers but has examined the relationship between burnout on students around the world, including medical students. Medical students are students who take part in academic, professional, resident and apprentice education processes, in order to achieve the required medical competence. Students at the Faculty of Medicine are required to undergo a preclinical study period at the university first before becoming junior doctors at a hospital. Students who experience burnout are often the result of prolonged task and personal pressure. Therefore, it is necessary to know what factors can be related to burnout in Medical Students Purpose: factors can be related to burnout in Medical Students Methods: This study is a predictive multivariate analytic study with a cross-sectional approach using the School burnout inventory (SBI) assessment instrument, Rosenberg Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Generalized Anxiety Disorder - 7 (GAD-7). Sampling used probability sampling cluster sampling type of 150 subjects of medical students at the University of North Sumatra. This study was conducted at the Faculty of Medicine, University of North Sumatra. Results: Multivariate logistic regression on the fit model found that gender, length of study, anxiety, sleep quality were associated with burnout in medical students with a Hosmer and Lemeshow Test score of 0.852 Conclusion: There is a relationship between gender, length of study, anxiety, sleep quality and burnout among medical students
