    Pengaruh Budaya K-Pop terhadap Penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia pada Grup Whatsapp

    Abstract
    This study aims to describe the use of Indonesian in the WhatsApp K-popers group. This study uses a sociolinguistic approach to link language and society, language and culture. To find out the use of language, Greenfield's theory is used which leads to the realm of friendship. To find out language events, Dell Hymes's theory is used. The method used in data collection is a survey method. The survey method carried out by researchers was realized by using a questionnaire distribution technique in the form of a Google Form. The results of this study the use of Indonesian among Indonesian youths in terms of the realm of friendship shows that 340 the number of frequencies of language use in the realm of friendship has the highest range of 54%, then mixing languages gets a score of 44%. After that, in terms of language events, the answers given by 68 respondents to 18 questions, namely (1) casual conversation has the highest average of 44.1%, the answers are always in Indonesian, (2) the use of greeting words gets an average score the highest average in answers always using Indonesian is 39.71%, (3) the use of thank you gets the highest average score of 30.15% with answers always in Indonesian, (4) the use of the word apology gets the highest score 32.35% with answers that are always in Indonesian, (5) The use of language when introducing oneself gets the highest average score of 44.85% with answers always in Indonesian. Of all the percentages of language use, it can be concluded that the use of Indonesian still persists with the percentage of Indonesian answers reaching 50%.
