Afiliasi DPD IPK Kota Medan pada Pilkada Gubernur Sumatera Utara 2018

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan bagaimana afiliasi DPD IPK Kota Medan terhadap kemenangan pasangan calon Gubernur Sumatera Utara Nomor Urut 2 (dua) yaitu Djarot Saiful Hidayat dengan wakilnya Sihar Sitorus. Dukungan ini terbukti dari surat instruksi ketua DPD IPK Kota Medan yang diedarkan pada 14 Februari 2018 yang ditandatangani oleh ketua dan sekretaris DPD IPK Kota Medan. Berlabuhnya pilihan DPD IPK Kota Medan dalam mendukung calon Gubernur Sumatera Utara nomor urut 2 (dua) karena menurut pandangan IPK sendiri calon tersebut memiliki daya tarik lebih dalam memenangkan suara rakyat. Terjalinnya kerja sama ini tidak lepas dari sebuah kesepakatan antara kedua belah pihak. Kesepakatan yang dibuat tentulah kesepakatan yang menguntungkan kedua belah pihak. Adapun partisipasi politik DPD IPK Kota Medan adalah partisipasi aktif dilihat dari bagaimana IPK Kota Medan secara langsung terlibat dalam proses pemenangan calon Gubernur seperti kampanye, sosialisasi dan hal lainnya, dimana hal tersebut dibahas oleh seluruh kader DPD IPK Kota Medan untuk menciptakan sebuah strategi. Kader IPK Kota Medan juga dikerahkan untuk melakukan pergerakan tanpa terkeculi dalam menjaring massa dalam berbagai strategi yang sudah ditetapkan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan dan mengkomplikasikan sumber-sumber data baik dokumen-dokumen atau website (Library Research) dan wawancara langsung dengan Sekretaris Jednderal DPD IPK Kota Medan. Teori yang digunakan dalam mendukung skripsi ini adalah teori organisasi dan partisipasi politik.
