Leksikon Fauna dalam Bahasa Nias di Desa Botombawo Kecamatan Hiliserangkai Kabupaten Nias (Kajian Ekolinguistik)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the lexicon and the understanding of the Nias people regarding the lexicon in Dahadanö Botombawö Village, Hiliserangkai District, Nias Regency. Lack of public attention to the environment and fauna results in the threat of extinction of fauna which can have fatal consequences, especially in today's semilinear generation. This fauna lexicon research is an ecolinguistic study using a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. The data taken is in the form of conversations between informants and the community as respondents. The techniques used in this research are speaking techniques, free viewing involving cak, paint, and recording techniques. This study describes 1) the fauna lexicon in the Nias language in Dahadanö Botombawö Village, Hiliserangkai District, Nias Regency, 2) Describes the level of understanding of the Nias people about the existing Fauna Lexicon. In describing the understanding of the community, a science called to practice is used, 1) the biologist's dimension, 2) the sociologist's dimension, and 3) the ideological dimension. The results of this study describe 3 groups of lexicons namely: 1) lexicon of fauna that lives on land, 2) lexicon of fauna that lives in water, and 3) lexicon that lives on land and in water.
