The Indonesian nation is a pluralistic nation, this can be seen from the diversity of cultures, ethnicities, races and religions. Cultural values as identity in the Batak ethnic group are clan, language, script, and customs. This study analyzes the cultural values of the Toba Batak in TB Silalahi's novel Toba Dreams. The purpose of this study is to describe the cultural values of the Toba Batak in the Toba Dreams novel. This study used a qualitative descriptive method by collecting data using reading and note taking techniques. The theory used to assist researchers is the Koentjaranigrat theory of culture and uses anthropological studies of literature. The results of the research show that there are nine cultural values of the Batak Toba, namely: kinship values, namely Dalihan Na Tolu which is the 3 pillars of support for the Batak tribe (hula hula, boru and dongan sabutuha). The religious value is the belief of the Toba Batak people in the ancestors of Ompu Mula Jadi Na Bolon and the traditions adopted by the ancestors of the Batak people. The value of hagabeon is heredity and longevity. The value of hasangapon is the pride of parents towards the children they have cared for during their lifetime. Hamoraon values are self esteem, material wealth and hard work. The value of the hamajuon is wandering. The value of dohot uhum is obedience to customs and being responsible. The value of the protector is empathy and care for the surrounding environment, as well as wisdom. The marsisarian value is the attitude of helping others. These cultural values have a meaning which is the identity of the Toba Batak tribe itself.
