A Description of Moral Values Found in Movie Enola Holmes II

Abstract

The title of this paper is ‘A Description of Moral Values Found in Movie Enola Holmes II’. Movie is now one of the most popular literary works. Every movie has its own messages. A movie is always closely related to moral values. This paper aims to describe the types of moral values and what type of moral value that is more dominant in the second movie of Enola Holmes. This paper used types of moral values theory that was proposed by Suseno (2007) in Etika Dasar: Masalah- Masalah Pokok Filsafat Moral (Basic Ethics: Main Issues of Moral Philosophy) and K. Bertens (2007) in Etika (Ethics). The method that is used in describing this paper is a qualitative method. The data is collected by the dialogues that are being conveyed by the main character of the movie, Enola Holmes. The results of this paper shows that the types of moral values that are found in the movie Enola Holmes II are kejujuran (honesty) 25%, menjadi diri sendiri (be yourself) 8,33%, bertanggung jawab (responsibility) 8,33%, kemandirian (independence) 8,33%, keberanian (bravery) 41,67%, and rendah hati (humble) 8,33%.
